He is not going to move from the USA
Billionaire Elon Musk has revealed why he visited China last week. He discussed with representatives of the Chinese authorities possible problems associated with artificial intelligence, as well as ways to regulate it.
We had very productive discussions about the risks associated with artificial intelligence and the need to regulate it. As I understood from these conversations, China intends to introduce measures at home to regulate artificial intelligence. So those discussions were very promising. I pointed out that if an extremely powerful digital superintelligence is created in China, it will pose a threat to China’s sovereignty.
Elon Musk spoke about the purpose of his visit to China
In China, Musk held meetings with Foreign Minister Qin Gang, Industry and Informatization Minister Jin Zhuanglong, and Commerce Minister Wang Wentao.
He also clarified that he never intended to move to another country: “I have no houses outside the US, no other passports. I will live and die here. I firmly believe that the United States is the greatest power for good in world history.”
