Final Fantasy XVI coming to PC later
Square Enix made a big announcement at yesterday’s PlayStation event, unveiling the newest installment of the highly popular Final Fantasy series. A lengthy trailer was also published with cut-scenes and gameplay slices.

The developers have also confirmed that the upcoming game, Final Fantasy XVI, will be available on PlayStation 5 as a temporary exclusive, and later on PC.
As a storyline, Final Fantasy XVI will be a standalone game with a completely new cast of characters and storylines. The only summary revealed in the trailer is, “The legacy of crystals has shaped our history for quite some time.”
There are no further details on the upcoming Final Fantasy yet. Game producer Naoki Yoshida commented that Square Enix will release more new information about the project next year. This confirms that Final Fantasy XVI will not be released in the current calendar year.
The event also announced the next installment in the God of War series, which will be released only on PlayStation 5.
