Freedom came unexpectedly: Zoom is not working and the company is investigating problems

Video conferencing giant   Zoom, whose audience has grown exponentially thanks to quarantine measures, is experiencing frequent disruptions, with users in the US and UK reporting connectivity issues when making video calls.

The DownDetector resource shows service outages in North America and parts of Europe, and Zoom’s own status page reports meeting and webinar issues. Chat, phone and other support services seem to work fine, but it doesn’t really matter if the app can’t be used to perform its basic functions.

The failure of a major service like Zoom is always a big problem, but video conferencing software has become an integral part of life during the current COVID-19 pandemic. If you search Twitter for complaints, you can see that many people have disrupted business meetings, training sessions, and so on. However, there are those who were delighted at the opportunity to legally skip meetings and classes. After all, today is Monday, and sometimes after the weekend, you want it to last a little longer.

According to Zoom tweets, the company is currently investigating the outages and will try to communicate progress through its social media channels – service is likely to be restored soon. In the meantime, users who are actually affected by the problem should really not miss the opportunity to take a break.
