The device is equipped with a CMOS sensor (35.9 × 23.9 mm) with 24.3 million effective pixels. The powerful processor Expeed 6 is busy processing the incoming data. It is possible to take photos with a resolution of up to 6016 × 4016 pixels and record videos in 4K format (3840 × 2160 pixels) at a speed of 30, 25 and 24 frames per second. Sensitivity value – ISO 100-51200, expandable to ISO 50-102400.

The 273-point hybrid AF system delivers fast, accurate, and smooth autofocusing. Subjects are captured and remain in focus no matter where they are in the frame. There is a built-in 5-axis vibration reduction system that allows you to shoot at shutter speeds up to five stops slower than without.

The durable, lightweight magnesium alloy body and reliable sealing protect the camera from dust and moisture. Two SD / SDHC / SDXC (UHS-II) slots are available for inserting memory cards. The camera is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth adapters, USB 3.2 Gen1 port, and micro-HDMI interface.

The camera received a high-resolution electronic viewfinder and a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with the ability to change the position. The Picture Control system allows you to apply unique creative filters and provide real-time previews in the viewfinder or on-screen.

The price of $ 1399 is set for the Nikon Z 5 camera without optics included. Together with the 24-50mm F4-6.3 lens, the novelty will cost $ 1699, and with the 24-200 F4-6.3 VR optics – $ 2199.
