Games with Gold in February: Gears 5, Resident Evil, Indiana Jones and more
Microsoft has unveiled a list of games that Xbox Live Gold (and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) subscribers will be able to grab for free and permanently on Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S in February: Gears 5 shooter, Resident Evil 1, Lost Planet 2, Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition and a symbolic gift in the form of Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb.
Gears 5 and Resident Evil will be available to pick up from February 1st to February 28th. The first is the continuation of the story of the heroes of the new generation. In the face of an impending large-scale war, Kate Diaz is trying to figure out how she is connected with the Swarm. The second is a cult horror movie about members of a special squad who found themselves in a mysterious mansion with living dead on the outskirts of Raccoon City.
Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition (February 16 – March 15) is a 2D Metroidvania platformer set in the world of Salt. You have to explore locations, acquire new abilities, meet the locals and defeat oppressive enemies.
Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb (February 1-15) – action-adventure based on the films about Indiana Jones. The game takes place shortly before the events of the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. The famous archaeologist will go in search of the tomb of the first emperor of China – Qin Shi Huang – where the black pearl of the Dragon Heart is buried.
Finally, Lost Planet 2 (February 16-28) is a shooter where you have to fight for heat energy on a gloomy planet 12 years after the events of the first part. The snow has melted, the deserts have been exposed, and the jungle has grown where it used to be very cold. The game has a cooperative mode for up to four users and the ability to customize the character.
