Accelerating digital transformation will outweigh the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic

Gartner has published a forecast of global information technology (IT) spending for the current year. According to analysts, these costs will amount to $ 3.9 billion, which is 6.2% more than last year. For comparison: last year, IT spending decreased by 3.2% due to the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy. The positive impact of accelerating digital transformation is expected to outweigh the pandemic’s negative impact this year.
