But you still have a little more time to transfer content to YouTube Music
Google Play Music stopped working in early December, but the files you downloaded remain available for export. This will change as early as February when Google removes all information related to Play Music.
Google buries another service prematurely. All data from Google Play Music will be deleted this month
In addition to all the songs you’ve downloaded since the service was created in 2011, other Play Music data includes purchases, playlists, stations, albums/songs stored in your library, and likes/dislikes.
After the apps shut down, Google originally planned to provide users with the option by the end of 2020 to transfer that data to YouTube Music using the built-in tool or download an offline copy via Google Takeout. Then it was planned to extend the deadline until the end of 2021, but now Google announced the imminent removal of all data from Google Play Music. Users have already received the corresponding letter.
On February 24th, we will delete all your data on Google Play Music. This includes your music library with any downloads, purchases, and anything you’ve added from Google Play Music. After this date, it will be impossible to restore it. If you want to download your library and data from Google Play Music, you can do so with Google Takeout until February 24, 2021
