The disappearance of the application from Google Play is associated with compliance with sanctions
As we already wrote , on May 20, the 2GIS mapping service application was removed from the Google Play app store. Google has now explained that this is due to compliance with sanctions and trade regulations. This was reported to the TASS agency in the press service of the company.
Google complies with all applicable sanctions and trade compliance laws. If we detect an application that violates our terms of use, we will take appropriate action.
Google explained the removal of 2GIS
The service team notes that previously installed 2GIS applications for Android OS continue to work, there is no need to remove them. Now the version of 2GIS for Android can be downloaded from the project website or found in other app stores: Huawei App Gallery, Samsung Galaxy Store, Xiaomi Getapps, NashStore, RuMarket, and RuStore.
Also in April of this year, the 2GIS app for iOS returned to the App Store. It was removed from there in September last year.
