Today, the World Court of the Presnensky District of Moscow ordered Google to pay an additional fine in the amount of two times the amount of the FAS Russia fine that was not paid within the prescribed period. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Antimonopoly Service.

Recall that in February 2022, the FAS completed consideration of the antitrust case against Google. The service found that the rules related to the formation, suspension, blocking of accounts and the circulation of user content on Youtube are opaque, biased and unpredictable.

The service commission found the company guilty of abusing its dominant position in the market for YouTube video hosting services. At the time, the FAS imposed a turnover fine of more than 2 billion rubles ($34,886,073) on Google for violating antitrust laws.
The company tried to appeal the decision, but the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal took the side of the FAS Russia. Earlier, the decision of the antimonopoly service was also supported by the court of first instance.
