Google Pixel 5 showed high build quality and good maintainability
The Pixel 5 is Google’s flagship smartphone for 2020, despite being powered by the mid-budget Snapdragon 765G chip. Shortly after the release, some users noticed a gap between the body and the bezel on their Pixel 5. The specialists of the YouTube video blog PBKreviews decided to find out how well the device was assembled, disassembling it to a screw.
A video posted by PBKreviews shows the Pixel 5 has a high build quality, like most flagship smartphones. The disadvantages include only a peel-off screen. However, experts argue that this problem is caused by poor quality control and not other reasons. And Google itself changes smartphones with this defect without any problems. Technically, the overall design of the device has no obvious drawbacks.
It should be noted that the front panel is fixed with a large number of latches and is additionally glued. Otherwise, Pixel 5 is highly maintainable. It has an excellent layout and high-quality cables and connectors that connect internal components. In addition, most of the parts are secured with screws, making them easy to dismantle and replace.
