Unfortunately, the Qualcomm top platform was not limited. In particular, we have already seen quite a few devices worth $ 500 or more based on the Snapdragon 765G, which although it has a 5G modem, is not far behind the Snapdragon 720G / 730G in performance.
Even worse: those devices whose predecessors have always used top solutions are switching to the Snapdragon 765G. For example, all the rumours indicate that Google Pixel 5 will be based on this Qualcomm platform. At the same time, it is hardly worth waiting for a significant reduction in prices relative to the Pixel 4. Perhaps, there will be no reduction at all.
The new data says that Pixel 5 will lose not only the top platform but also the main unique feature of the Pixel 4 – Motion Sense features. More specifically, the new product will not have a Soli radar, and the lack of Motion Sense is already a consequence.
True, if Snapdragon 765G instead of Snapdragon 865 is definitely a minus, then the lack of Motion Sense for many can be a plus. Firstly, the new Google will be able to get rid of the thick frame above the screen, and secondly, many simply did not use Motion Sense.
As a result, it is not yet clear what will attract the new flagship of Google in general. Perhaps, nevertheless, at a price, but so far there is no data on this subject.
