Google Pixel camera problems were caused not by software, but by hardware

Android Police reports that several Google Pixel smartphones’ camera malfunctions are likely hardware in nature and not software, as previously thought.

Many Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 device owners have complained about problems with the proprietary Google Camera app. It can either close completely with an error or show a black screen, as shown in the screenshot below.

It has been suggested that a bug could cause the camera to malfunction in one of the updates. However, Google said it was unaware of any software issue with the camera.

This means that failures can occur due to hardware components. However, what exactly they are dictated by is not yet clear. However, the number of error messages is increasing.

Some smartphone owners talk about a curious circumstance: placing a magnet next to the camera can restore its performance for a while.
