Honor’s independence will not affect the company’s operations and after-sales service
As expected, Chinese giant Huawei has confirmed that the company has sold its Honor sub-brand to Zhixin New Information Technology Co. Ltd. The new owner is a consortium of more than 30 agents and dealers of the Honor brand and the Shenzhen Smart City Development Group Co. Ltd.
Honor first commented on its independence
The deal involves the sale of “all business assets associated with the Honor brand.” It also became known that after the completion of the procedure, Huawei will not own shares of the new company Honor. Rumor has it that Huawei will receive $ 15.2 billion.
Zhao Ming, who was President of Honor when the company was part of Huawei, is now the CEO of the new company. Together with him, several more top managers of Huawei are joining the new company Honor.
The company assured that the company’s activities will remain stable and there will be no problems with after-sales service. He also added that customers will be able to enjoy all the original services as before, and only new products launched from now on will be serviced through their own Service System.
Honor ranks among the world’s leading smartphone brands thanks to its strong low to mid-range mobile portfolio.
