Honor will take over Huawei’s flagship device brands

Honor CEO Zhao Ming gave an interview in which he shared the company’s plans after gaining independence from Huawei. Perhaps the most interesting thing here is that Honor will have a so-called superflagman!

Honor knows very well what flagship smartphones are, but what Zhao Ming means in the concept of “super flagship” is not clear. Perhaps we are talking about the use of a single-chip platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 – the separation of Honor into a separate company and gaining independence from Huawei will allow it to be used in its devices. Plus, you can add top-end cameras like the current flagships of Huawei, a lot of memory, high-quality screens – and now the image of a potential super-flagship that can compete with the Samsung Galaxy S21, OnePlus 9, and others is emerging.

Interestingly, Zhao Ming mentioned the Huawei Mate and P series of flagship devices: apparently, Honor will get their hands on them. And this, in general, is the right step, since these are already well-promoted brands in themselves. It is logical to assume that the superflagman will be released within one of these two series. The head of Honor also promised to continue the release of “full-featured IoT products”, which include laptops, tablets, and routers. So the wide range of Honor devices will continue after independence.
