How mining hurts even ordinary people. Miners cause power outages in the Iranian capital

In some cases, miners’ activity in a particular region is so high that it turns into problems for ordinary people who have nothing to do with computers and are not going to buy new devices.

According to the source, the Iranian authorities’ investigation showed that the recent power outages in Tehran were caused precisely by the mining boom. And not on the part of ordinary citizens of Iran.

The problem is that large Chinese players in this market have begun to transfer their farms to Iran since electricity is four times cheaper there. Presumably, there are 14 huge mining farms in Iran, consuming a total of about 300 MW of energy, which is comparable to a city with a population of 100,000 people.

Given the situation in the cryptocurrency market, the problem may worsen shortly, not only in Iran.
