Online sources say the new version of the user interface will launch in the third quarter and may debut at IFA 2020 in September. In anticipation of this event, some new features have become known that will become available to users of Huawei devices in the future.

The source says that with the release of EMUI 11, the company will lay the foundation for distributed technologies that will improve the compatibility of the software with different device models. The core of the shell will continue to be the Android software platform, supplemented by proprietary Huawei Mobile Services.

As for the new features, in addition to the standard changes that will appear in Android 11, users of devices with EMUI 11 will have an updated Always-on Display mode. Already in EMUI 10.1, new design options for the AOD mode appeared, as well as the ability to change the appearance of the watch depending on the time of day. It is expected that with the release of EMUI 11, AOD mode will continue to receive new features.

Another improvement concerns the multitasking mode, which first appeared in EMUI 10.1. It is expected that users will be provided with features that will simplify the process of sharing files and speed up the work in Multi-Window mode.
