It’s getting better every time: the blogger compared the work of Cyberpunk 2077 on different consoles before and after patch 1.06

Blogger ElAnalistaDeBits continues to show the progress of fixing console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 on his YouTube channel. This time, the enthusiast compared the game’s performance before and after the recent update.

Recall that in patch 1.06, the developers promised to improve the memory allocation process and increase the stability of the game, which, in turn, should have reduced the number of crashes.

Apparently, the efforts of CD Projekt RED employees were not in vain: ElAnalistaDeBits on seven different consoles did not encounter a single game crash during the recording of frames for two videos over 24 minutes long.

There are minor improvements on PlayStation consoles: the base PS4 produces slightly more frames per second on average, texture loading is slightly less noticeable on PS4 Pro, and the quality of some shadows slightly improved on PS5.

Also in version 1.06, a bug noticed by a blogger in 1.05 was fixed – because of it, the interface in Cyberpunk 2077 on a regular PS4 and PS4 Pro could load certain items for too long.

As far as Xbox consoles are concerned, picture freezes have disappeared on the standard Xbox One, tearing has begun to appear slightly less on the Xbox One X, and performance on the Xbox Series X has returned to a more stable level compared to 1.05 version 1.04.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10 on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PS4, Xbox One, as well as GeForce Now and Google Stadia. The next major console updates are expected in January and February 2021.
