Key features of the affordable flagship Samsung Galaxy S21 FE declassified
Earlier today, we reported that information appeared on the Web that Samsung is developing a more affordable Galaxy S21 smartphone, named Galaxy S21 Fan Edition. Now information about the key characteristics of the device has leaked to the Internet.
It is reported that the Galaxy S21 FE will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, made according to the 7nm process technology. It is worth noting that its performance will be lower than that of the rest of the Galaxy S21 series since the Snapdragon 870 is only a slightly overclocked version of the Snapdragon 865. Note that last year’s Galaxy S20 FE was based on the same processor as the more advanced S20 series models.
It was also reported that the Galaxy S21 FE was certified by the Indian regulator BIS, thanks to which it became known that the smartphone will receive 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory. The primary camera will combine two 12MP and one 8MP sensor. The front camera will be represented by a single 32-megapixel sensor located in a circular cutout on the screen.
Galaxy S21 FE is credited with a 6.5-inch AMOLED matrix with Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is assumed that a 4500 mAh battery will power the smartphone. It is also reported that the device will receive a 4G version based on the Exynos 990 processor, which will attract users with a more affordable price. The launch dates and cost of the smartphone are still unknown.
