KFC unveiled KFConsole, a true gaming PC shaped like a base of wings. And it’s not a joke

KFC really created the KFConsole gaming system. The initial announcement of the device in June this year on the KFC Gaming Twitter page was taken by many as a joke: they say, Sony and Microsoft are preparing their consoles for release, and KFC thus decided to play a trick on them. However, the company did introduce a gaming system in the form of a bucket of KFC wings. Initially, it was planned to show the device on November 12, but traditionally the presentation was postponed.

The unique gaming system was developed in collaboration with the CMODX team of Cooler Master, which specially for this project seriously redesigned the Cooler Master MasterCase NC100 case. One of the features of the KFConsole is a built-in brazier-shaped heating chamber.

Share Tom’s the Hardware, which appealed to the developers for comments, we found out that the brazier camera is part of the cooling system that removes heat from the components of the ordinary computer. Moreover, thanks to this, it can be used for its intended purpose – to heat the chicken.

KFConsole is based on the Intel NUC 9 Extreme Compute Element platform based on Intel Core i9-9980HK, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB Seagate NVMe SSD, and the GeForce RTX graphics accelerator from ASUS. The developers do not indicate what kind of video card model they are talking about.

The most interesting thing is that KFC is really going to release KFConsole for sale in the foreseeable future. That is, it is not just an advertising product. In an official statement, Mark Cheevers, Head of Public Relations and Social Media at KFC UK & Ireland, noted that they are positioning the gaming system as “their flagship offering

“We received such warm support from KFC fans after the announcement that we just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to actually create this gaming system. We put together a team, discussed ideas and eventually brought them to life, ” Chivers commented.

Cooler Master community manager Ann Ann Kao said that asking moderators for help in creating KFConsole paid off. “These guys can create a computer from a car, a tank, a shark, a superhero, so the task of creating a PC from a chicken bucket turned out to be completely doable for them,” said a company representative.

Unfortunately, nothing has been reported about the availability and cost of the KFConsole gaming system.
