Leak: Observer Extended Edition Coming to Legacy Consoles
The official microblogging of the Gematsu portal drew attention to the fact that pre-orders for the retail version of the Observer: System Redux cyberpunk adventure for the PlayStation 4 have begun in Japan.
As a reminder, Observer: System Redux is an extended and technically improved edition of the Observer for consoles of the current generation from the Polish studio Bloober Team.
Thus, Observer: System Redux did not come out on the prefixes of the previous cycle. Moreover, the Bloober Team did not even stutter about a potential release: it was assumed that this version would be exclusive to new devices.
Observer: System Redux will be released on PS4 and confirmed by a trailer for the retail version of the game published on the official YouTube channel of the Japanese publisher Natsume-Atari. The premiere is scheduled for June 10 this year.
Apparently, the expansion of the platform geography of Observer: System Redux will not be limited to the release on PS4 alone. In February, titles for the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch were also rated in Brazil.
Besides, the journalist of the Polish edition PolskiGamedev.pl, Michał Król said in his microblog that Observer: System Redux will be released on PS4 and Xbox One in the third quarter of this year.
The original Observer is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, while Observer: System Redux debuted on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and S in November 2020.
