Leaked: Super Mario’s 35th Anniversary Celebration Should Begin Back in April

A vigilant Twitter user under the pseudonym Wario64 drew attention to an already deleted page on the official Nintendo website, shedding light on the timing of the delay in celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Super Mario

Recall that the first rumors about Nintendo’s plans for the anniversary of the mustachioed plumber appeared at the end of March this year, but the official announcement had to wait until early September.

Along with the release dates for the Super Mario 3D All-Stars and other products, Nintendo announced the imminent launch of the Ninji Speedrun- themed level in Super Mario Maker 2 – and a deleted page was dedicated to it.

According to information already removed from the publication, the Ninji Speedrun event was supposed to take place from April 14 to 21 – almost five months (four months and 20 days) before the official announcement.

However, there is a possibility that the thematic level of Super Mario Maker 2 could be one of the first events in a series of festive events, while the presentation of Super Mario 3D All-Stars and other games would take place later.

Nintendo, like many other companies, has had to adjust to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Japanese platform- holder is rumored to have abandoned the traditional June Nintendo Direct release.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars will go on sale on September 18th exclusively on Nintendo Switch. It is noteworthy that the collection will be available for purchase only until March 31, 2021.
