LG has come up with a smartphone with two large screens, one of which is pulled out of the body
Internet sources have found patent documents from the South Korean company LG describing a very curious smartphone for its unique design.
The device’s description is published on the website of China’s National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). The patent illustrations reveal the main features of the device.
As you can see, the smartphone is made in a monoblock form factor: in the front part, there is a traditional fixed screen. In this case, the body has an unconventional oval cross-section.
The smartphone’s main feature is a second flexible display that can be pulled out from the side of the case. Moreover, its size, judging by the illustrations, is about twice the size of the front screen.
At the top, you can see a certain round element. It has been speculated that a retractable front-facing camera is hiding in this area.
Alas, so far, this unusual apparatus exists only on paper. Whether LG is going to implement the project “in hardware” is not clear.
