Microsoft: Halo Infinite Transfer Will Not Affect Xbox Series X And S Sales With “Thousands Of Games” Available On Consoles

Halo Infinite was slated to launch alongside the Xbox Series X and Series S, but after a failed gameplay demo and subsequent criticism, 343 Industries decided to reschedule the game. Many believed that the upcoming shooter would push people to buy new Microsoft consoles, but the company thinks otherwise. This was stated in a recent interview by the representative of the gaming division of the corporation Cindy Walker (Cindy Walker).

In a statement to The New York Times, she said, “It would be awesome to have Halo Infinite in the [Xbox Series X and Series S] starter games, but we’re not relying on a lot of exclusives to drive console sales. Our users will have access to thousands of projects for four generations of Xbox on launch day [of upcoming consoles]” Apparently, Cindy Walker is talking about backward compatibility, which Microsoft is trying to develop in every possible way. It is thanks to this technology that Xbox Series X and Series S users will be able to run games from the first Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. But whether backward compatibility will be able to neutralize the lack of new products is a big question.

Xbox Series X and Series S will go on sale on November 10, 2020, for $ 499 and $ 299, respectively. In Russia, the set-top boxes will cost 45,590 and 26,990 rubles.
