Microsoft HoloLens 2 Developer Edition Mixed Reality Headset Now Offers $ 1,250 Bonuses

Microsoft HoloLens 2 Developer Edition Mixed Reality Headset Now Offers $ 1,250 Bonuses

Microsoft has made the HoloLens 2 mixed reality headset available to a wider audience. The company has expanded the list of countries where the device can be purchased, and also introduced the Microsoft HoloLens 2 Developer Edition for developers.

HoloLens 2 was primarily aimed at corporate customers, but a few months ago Microsoft made it available to anyone who could afford a $ 3,500 device. At the same time, the headset was available only in some countries, which also limited the distribution of the platform.

HoloLens 2 will soon be available in 15 more countries, including Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Portugal, Poland, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, the company said. The device will also go on sale in South Korea later this year.

The HoloLens 2 Developer Edition is currently only available to US residents. The device has the same $ 3,500 price tag but comes bundled with $ 1,250 developer tools, including $ 500 Azure Credits and a three-month Unity Pro license for which you won’t be charged. The company will be offering the HoloLens 2 Developer Edition for rent early next year, with a monthly usage fee of $ 99.

Microsoft hopes these incentives will help accelerate the adoption of the Windows Holographic platform by both developers and customers.
