Mobile GeForce RTX 3050 Ti received 2560 CUDA cores and 4 GB of video memory

Mobile GeForce RTX 3050 Ti received 2560 CUDA cores and 4 GB of video memory

The existence of the mobile GeForce RTX 3050 Ti has already been confirmed by ASUS, noting it among the available options for graphics accelerators for its TUF Dash F15 gaming laptop. However, at that time, the manufacturer did not disclose the technical characteristics of this video card. A new leak has revealed more details about the new mobile GPU.

Information about the mobile GeForce RTX 3050 Ti has appeared in the Geekbench synthetic benchmark database. The graphics accelerator was included in the Samsung 760XDA laptop based on Intel Core i7-11800H. The results of the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti performance in the OpenCL test were also published there. Although the latter is not an ideal indicator of gaming performance, at the moment, it is all there is about this video card.

According to Geekbench, the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU uses 20 compute units (streaming multiprocessors, SM). Each of them contains 128 CUDA cores. Thus, their total number is 2560. Yesterday it also became known that the usual GeForce RTX 3050 uses 16 SM-blocks or 2048 CUDA cores.

Both cards are expected to be based on the GPU Ampere GA107. Likely, the variant of the chip used in the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti is its full-fledged version. It is not clear if NVIDIA plans to use the same GPUs for the desktop versions of the GeForce RTX 3050 and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti. Both mobile cards are allocated only 4 GB of video memory. Most likely, this is GDDR6 memory, and it has a 128-bit bus. In the Geekbench V5 OpenCL test, the mobile GeForce RTX 3050 Ti averaged 60,479 points.

Thus, the new product turned out to be slightly faster in terms of performance than the mobile GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q. With this result, the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti is about 15% faster than the regular mobile GeForce RTX 3050 without the Ti suffix.
