Up to 4.7 GHz
It looks like AMD’s new top-end mobile processor will be even faster than we thought. Ryzen 9 5900HX has previously shone in tests, but the new one showed that the maximum frequency will be even higher – 4.7 GHz.
Mobile monster AMD. Ryzen 9 5900HX will operate at a record frequency for the company’s mobile processors
For comparison, the Ryzen 9 4900H has a performance of 4.4 GHz. Considering that the novelty will also switch to a new technical process, the result should be quite impressive. It can be assumed that the performance of the mobile Ryzen 9 5900HX in a number of tests can catch up with Intel desktop 10-core processors.
The Geekbench benchmark shows that the CPU scores 1535 and 9015 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes, respectively, and this is more than the desktop Core i7-10700K. True, there is a possibility that the Ryzen 9 5900HX has a new letter (X) in the name for a reason, but thanks to the support of the overclocking function, and 4.7 GHz is the frequency after overclocking.
