It looks like Ryzen 7000G desktop APUs with a powerful graphics core will soon hit the market.
Support for such processors appeared in AGESA 1008 firmware for motherboards. This hints that an announcement may be close. On the description page of the Asus B650 board, it is directly written that the new update brings support for upcoming CPUs.
New AMD processors with the most powerful graphics core are being prepared for release.
Unfortunately, there are no details about the processors themselves yet, but in fact, it’s pretty clear what they will be like. As always before, the easiest way for AMD is to take mobile APUs and turn them into desktop ones by increasing the frequencies and power limits.
That is, the desktop Ryzen 7000G will be a technical copy of the mobile Ryzen 7040. That is, we will have up to eight cores and a Radeon 780M GPU, which can be fully revealed with an increase in TDP.
Let us remind you that now there are Ryzen 5000G on the market with the old Vega iGPUs because the Ryzen 6000G line has not appeared.
