New Nintendo Switch console will get an enlarged screen and will be able to output 4K video to an external screen
Bloomberg’s authoritative resource has published new information about the next generation Nintendo Switch game console, the official presentation of which is expected this year.
Recall that the Nintendo Switch’s current model is endowed with a 6.2-inch HD screen with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels. An adapted NVIDIA Tegra processor was used. The image can be output to the TV in Full HD format (1920 × 1080 pixels).
Also, the Nintendo Switch Lite console is on offer. This device has a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels.
The next-generation Nintendo Switch, according to Bloomberg, will feature a Samsung OLED screen. This touchpad size will increase to 7 inches diagonally, but the resolution will remain the same – HD.
Also, it is said about the possibility of displaying images on an external screen in 4K format (3840 × 2160 pixels). By the way, rumors about support for this standard have already appeared on the Internet.
Obviously, the hardware part of the console will undergo improvements. Also, the capacity of the battery may increase in light of the increased display size.
