PR-manager of GSC Game World Zakhar Bocharov, in an address to the players on the official Xbox website, spoke in more detail about the STALKER 2 pre-New Year teaser and the ambitions of the development team.

Recall that on the night of December 30-31, 2020, GSC Game World delighted all fans of the series with the first STALKER 2 video with a scene demonstration on the game engine.

The video shows the world through the eyes of a new protagonist – a stalker under the pseudonym Skif. According to Bocharov, the hero and his actions “will form the next grandiose chapter in the history of the Zone. “

The events of the video unfold on the outskirts of Pripyat, in a dilapidated school, where Skif hopes to hide from the release. Bocharov also confirmed that someone he knew was hiding in the darkness of the building.

As for the ambitions of the developers, the team is “committed to delivering the highest quality product for all announced platforms. ” In addition, production is “progressing smoothly”.

“We are pleased to see how, thanks to its fast SSD, support for ray tracing (on Series X and S) and 4K resolution (Series X), STALKER 2 adds up to the unforgettable experience that we originally promised,” concluded Bocharov.

STALKER 2 is being created for PC, Xbox Series X and S. There is no release date yet, but Bocharov once again assured that from the very first day of launch, the project will become part of the Xbox Game Pass library.
