Samsung Mobile Head Says More Mobile Devices Will Get S Pen In The Future

Samsung recently unveiled the new flagship Galaxy S21 smartphones. For the first time in the S family, the company has added S Pen support to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The pen was previously exclusive to Galaxy Note smartphones. In the future, the lineup of devices supporting the S Pen will become even larger, as announced by a company official.

The head of Samsung’s mobile division, Tae Moon Roh (TM Roh), said in a short interview with The Verge that the company plans to add new categories of devices to the list of S Pen support. In the future, these will most likely include the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip family of foldable smartphones. Also, support can be implemented in more tablets of the South Korean brand – at the moment, the S Pen only works on the flagship Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Unless, of course, remember the devices of previous generations, such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, Note 10.1 and Note Pro 12.2.

“We are committed to introducing new technologies into our devices to make our users’ lives more convenient and better. We made the bold decision to add S Pen support to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The S Pen has always been a favourite feature of the Galaxy Note, but we decided to go beyond the usual, ”said Tae Moon Ro. When asked if the company would add S Pen support to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and that users are looking forward to it, he said: “We will definitely listen to the opinions and wishes of our customers. So stay tuned and be prepared for something cool in the future. “

Bringing S Pen support to foldable smartphones would be a logical step because their format begs for the role of a portable digital pad.
