Facebook has shared the success of the popular WhatsApp messenger on New Year’s Eve.

According to these statistics, WhatsApp users made more than 1.4 billion voice and video calls on New Year’s Eve.
This is 50% more calls than last year and represents the record for the most calls made in one day in WhatsApp’s entire history.
In the proprietary messenger Facebook Messenger, the number of group video calls has doubled compared to the daily average.
