The difference is four times
AMD recently introduced Ryzen 5000 desktop processors, which are significantly faster than their predecessors.
Not much is left before the new AMD processors are released, but the old ones still sell much better than the Intel ones. According to Mindfactory store
But even without them, Intel often has almost nothing to oppose to a competitor, which can be clearly seen in a number of segments. For example, the well-known to us the largest German online store Mindfactory in October sold four times more AMD processors than Intel processors. And although the indicator for the latter has improved slightly, and indeed this is the best indicator for the year, it is still very deplorable. If you look at the diagram, you can see that in quantitative terms, Intel’s sales have hardly changed, while AMD’s have decreased, which clearly indicates that users simply decided to wait for the new CPUs.
The best-selling CPUs are still Ryzen 5 3600 (7190 units per month) and Ryzen 7 3700X (3410 units per month), while the Intel Core i7-10700K has the best performance, and it is only 800 units per month. Even the Ryzen 7 2700X, which can already be called the next generation processor, has a better result (990 units per month).
Intel’s average selling price fell both y / y (14%) and q / q (7%). AMD’s indicators fell by 9.4% and 3.5%, respectively.
New CPUs should appear on sale in November, and it will be very interesting to look at the statistics for the month.
