Nvidia has no plans to release GeForce RTX 3060 Founders Edition

The fact that Nvidia does not plan to release the GeForce RTX 3060 Founders Edition is evidenced by the slides used to announce the card. There is no reference design card on them.

Interestingly, Nvidia’s website’s official render shows a new cooler design that hasn’t been used in any other Ampere-based graphics card so far. Also, there is no additional power connector on the render. Considering that the GeForce RTX 3060 consumes 170 W, more than the PCIe connector can provide, we can conclude that the render shows not a reference sample but only a generalized idea of the card.

The core of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 is an 8nm GA106-300 GPU with 3584 CUDA cores. The video card is equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory connected to a 192-bit bus. It should appear on sale at the end of February for $ 329.
