This is one of the most powerful models on the market, but, alas, high performance does not correlate with the strength of the structure: the ROG Phone 5 has a weak place in the antenna area on the side edge. It is enough to apply a relatively small amount of bending force, and the smartphone literally breaks in half.

The entire Asus ROG Phone 5, of course, does not break, but it clearly loses its performance. It is interesting that in this case the glass of the rear panel immediately “goes like a cobweb”, but the glass that protects the screen, although it bends, but retains its integrity.
The glass of the front panel is scratched by hard objects and does not react to heating in any way – everything is as usual here. The side metal frame, besides being fragile, is easily scratched. In general, if not for the weak point of the frame, the Asus ROG Phone 5 would have performed in the JerryRigEverything test no worse than most other smartphones.
