OnePlus CEO confirms the existence of an affordable flagship OnePlus 9R

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, in an interview with TV channel News18, commented on numerous rumors that the new series of the flagship OnePlus 9 smartphones will include three models.

The presentation of the devices will take place very soon – on March 23rd. It is known that the family will include the standard version of the OnePlus 9 and the more powerful modification of the OnePlus 9 Pro. Simultaneously, information has been circulating on the Internet for a long time that the more affordable OnePlus 9R model will also be released.

So, in an interview with News18, Mr. Lau revealed that the company would indeed release a less expensive version of the OnePlus 9R in addition to the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. He confirmed that it would receive 5G support. Besides, it was noted that the device would provide advanced gaming experiences.

So far, alas, the OnePlus 9R has been confirmed for the Indian market only. But the new product will likely be offered in other regions as well.

The OnePlus 9R is rumored to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, a display with a refresh rate of 90Hz or higher, and a battery with fast-charging technology.
