OnePlus founder’s startup revealed the concept of future wireless headphones – something new
The new tech company of OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has unveiled the Concept 1 wireless earbuds, giving an insight into its debut earbuds, expected to be announced this summer. The concept embodies three elements that define the philosophy of its design: weightlessness, ease, and timeless relevance.
The concept was developed by Tom Howard, Nothing’s head of design, who is also the associate director of design at its partner company Teenage Engineering. It should be noted that Concept 1 is not something that Nothing actually plans to release. “While the same design principles will be followed and there will be similarities to Concept 1, the final product will look different,” a Nothing spokesperson told The Verge in an email.
He added that the concept is also intended to reflect its overall design philosophy rather than a specific product. And Concept 1 fits well with Teenage Engineering’s aesthetic.
“These are the principles that have guided our product development over the past several months, ” says Nothing. ” We look forward to showing you how this comes true in our first products this summer.”
