PepsiCo announces move to Microsoft cloud following Coca-Cola

PepsiCo, one of the world’s largest food and beverage companies, has announced a partnership with Microsoft. The goal of the cooperation will be to meet the growing demand for food and beverages, as well as improve the company’s operations and customer service. In a five-year partnership, Microsoft will become the food giant’s premier cloud storage provider.

PepsiCo will bring its global data warehouse to Azure. In addition, all 270,000 employees worldwide will use Microsoft 365 and Teams. In a press release, PepsiCo  CIO Seth Cohen said the company will strive to improve service delivery capabilities to meet the growing demand for essential goods by introducing innovative technologies into workflows.

In addition, this collaboration is a big win for Microsoft, as PepsiCo acts as a strategically important partner for it because it is a huge corporation with a global market presence, which unites 23 brands that generate more than $ 1 billion in combined revenue per year.

Interestingly, PepsiCo’s main competitor, Coca-Cola, also signed a similar five-year agreement with Microsoft in April this year.
