Pixel 3 and Pixel 4 smartphone owners are increasingly complaining about swollen batteries

According to online sources, more and more third and fourth generation Google Pixel smartphone users are complaining about battery problems. And we are not talking about the battery life, but about the fact that the batteries swell.

Since May this year, there have been a large number of posts on the Google support forum and the Reddit community from Pixel smartphone users who are experiencing a bloated battery issue. Owners of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL devices, which are equipped with 2915 and 3430 mAh batteries, respectively, have left a lot of complaints, backed up by images of bloated smartphones. It is noteworthy that in some cases the battery swells so much that the back panel of the smartphone begins to come off.

Some users did not immediately notice the problem, because they used the smartphone with a case. One of the users of the Reddit community said that sometime after buying the Pixel 4 XL from the Verizon operator, he noticed a swollen battery and tried to exchange the smartphone. However, less than a year after the launch of the Pixel 4 XL at Verizon, he was informed that smartphones were out and offered to exchange the defective model for a Samsung Galaxy S10 +. This led the user to believe that a battery problem could be the reason for the premature end of production of the Pixel 4 series smartphones. If users decide to exchange a defective smartphone not with their operator, but with Google, then it will be easier to do this, even if the warranty period has expired (in this case, a refurbished model will be provided). However, Google is only willing to replace a defective smartphone once. This means that if the battery is swollen again, it will not be possible to replace it.
