Player found locations from macOS background images in Microsoft Flight Simulator
Players continue to use Microsoft Flight Simulator for interesting experiments. Previously, the enthusiast found the same hill from the background image of Windows XP in a fresh flight simulator, and now a user named Matt Birchler noted a similar find. In an interview with The Verge, the player revealed that he had found macOS wallpaper spots in a recent creation by Asobo Studio.
MarcosThe enthusiast decided to start looking for the indicated locations in the Asobo Studio simulator after watching a video in which a group of photographers visited these objects live. Birchler first flew to each of the points, then correctly selected the distance and set the time of day using in-game tools. The gamer additionally corrected the created images in Adobe Lightroom. The result is images very similar to the macOS desktop wallpaper. They are all present in the gallery below.
Of course, the player did not manage to achieve such beauty as in the original sources. Backgrounds look richer and more impressive, but they’ve been worked on by professionals. Matt Birchler did everything on his own and used the virtual world, so his efforts are worthy of praise.
Microsoft Flight Simulator was released on August 18, 2020, for PC. The game has received over 10 thousand reviews on Steam, 72% of which are positive. Negative reviews are due to technical issues and download issues.
