PlayStation 5 gets YouTube TV app
Nearly six months after launch, the Sony PlayStation 5 has finally received the YouTube TV app. This means that all set-top box owners will have one more opportunity to watch live TV programs with its help. YouTube TV allows you to broadcast up to three video streams simultaneously.
Having another YouTube TV-enabled device in your home can be especially helpful for Roku device owners. As a reminder, Roku and Google are at war, with the result that YouTube TV has been removed from the Roku app store. This means that Roku owners cannot install or re-download the YouTube TV app on their devices.
Of course, watching streaming videos is far from the main reason people buy game consoles. But in a world where corporate disputes can mean losing access to pre-paid services on already purchased devices, having an additional way to connect to a streaming service clearly won’t be superfluous.
