PlayStation 5 has an internet browser, but it doesn’t have an address bar
Recently, Sony published a series of answers to the most frequently asked questions about the PlayStation 5. It turned out that the new generation console from the Japanese company will not have a browser for accessing the Web. However, resource ArsTechnica revealed the opposite. It turns out that the PS5 has an application for surfing the Internet, but it is hidden and has limited functionality.
To find a browser, you must first go to the “Users and accounts” section of the settings. Here you need to find the item “Connect with other services”, and then select Twitter. This will open a browser window in which you need to click on the Twitter logo in the upper left corner. Thanks to such a simple trick, the standard Twitter interface will appear on the screen, just like when opening a page on personal computers. From here, you can follow external links to open other sites. But using the address bar of the browser will not work, since it is blocked.
ArsTechnica representatives tried to download many sites and in most cases, they succeeded. For example, YouTube and Twitch work fine, but still do not allow you to go to a full-screen viewing mode. The Spotify website also launched, but it could not play music.
The PS5 will be released in Russia on November 19. The price of the console is 37,999 rubles. for an edition without a floppy drive and 46,990 rubles. for the version with an optical drive.
