PocketBook 740 Color reader received an E Ink color screen and a price tag of $297.38
A device for reading e-books, PocketBook 740 Color, built based on a second-generation E Ink Kaleido color display, is presented on the Russian market.
The screen of the gadget has a size of 7.8 inches diagonally. The applied panel on electronic paper has a resolution of 1404 × 1872 pixels and displays 4096 color shades.
The novelty supports touch control. Front lighting with adjustable brightness is provided. The overall dimensions are 195 × 136.5 × 8 mm.
“ Thanks to the large 7.8-inch color screen, PocketBook 740 Color is perfect for textbooks, comics, magazines, business literature with graphs and diagrams, children’s books, websites,” says the developer.
The reader is equipped with a dual-core processor with a clock frequency of 1 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, and a flash module with a capacity of 16 GB, expandable with a microSD card. There are wireless adapters, Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n, and Bluetooth. A rechargeable battery with a capacity of 2900 mAh is responsible for the power supply.
