PowerColor Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Dragon is made in a strict style without an abundance of backlighting

PowerColor Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Dragon is made in a strict style without an abundance of backlighting

The official announcement of non-reference versions of the Radeon RX 6800 series video cards will take place on November 25. Then their sales will formally begin. Some manufacturers are already sending new items to reviewers and vendors, who in turn share images of them. PowerColor’s Red Dragon version of the Radeon RX 6800 XT released today is most likely one such leak.

We recently saw what PowerColor’s flagship Radeon solutions will look like as part of the Red Devil series. This time, images of a graphics accelerator in a simpler design have hit the Web. According to the resource VideoCardz, PowerColor is going to present new AMD video cards in three main variants: Red Devil (including LC and Limited Edition), Red Dragon, and also in the form of unnamed cards using cooling systems similar to Red Dragon models.

The Red Dragon series is represented by accelerators that emphasize ease of execution, rather than an abundance of RGB backlighting. The Radeon RX 6800 XT shown today uses a triple-fan cooling system and is finished entirely in black except for the company’s red logo on the fans. One of the photos shows that the CO itself is longer than the printed circuit board, but at the same time, it did not “swell” in thickness, like many variants of new Radeon graphics accelerators that have already flashed before. The new product from PowerColor, most likely, will occupy a little more than two expansion slots in the PC case.

Among other things, the use of two 8-pin connectors for additional power supply and non-standard equipment should be highlighted. Unlike the reference, the Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Dragon variant lacks a USB Type-C connector. Unfortunately, the frequency characteristics of the novelty in the photo remain unknown, as well as the cost of the video card.
