They got the designations Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 and 6700
Qualcomm introduced the flagship wireless solutions designed for use in smartphones: FastConnect 6900 and FastConnect 6700. They support Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth, providing today’s maximum mobile Wi-Fi connection speed, low “VR class” delay (less than 3 ms ) and Bluetooth enhancements that enhance sound quality.
Qualcomm Introduces Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 Wireless Solutions
The advantages of the FastConnect 6900 include support for the highest Wi-Fi 6 speed – 3.6 Gb / s. The peak speed provided by the FastConnect 6700 is approaching 3 Gb / s. For the first time in the industry, these solutions implement the Qualcomm 4K QAM modulation method (in the 2.4, 5, 6 GHz bands), which has increased the bandwidth required for streaming games and 4K video. 160 MHz channels are supported in the 5 and 6 GHz bands. Work in the 6 GHz band significantly expands Wi-Fi bandwidth, adding up to 1200 MHz of spectrum. Support for 160 MHz channels in two bands provides up to seven disjoint channels in the 6 GHz band in addition to the 160 MHz channels available in the 5 GHz band. The solutions support Uplink / Downlink MU-MIMO and OFDMA in all available ranges.
Bluetooth 5.2 implementation includes a second Bluetooth antenna with intelligent switching capabilities to overcome the common problem with signal shading. It was developed with the new LE Audio technologies in mind, including the exchange of sound between multiple points and wide broadcasting, which allows multiple audio connections to work simultaneously. The manufacturer also notes support for Qualcomm aptX Adaptive and Qualcomm aptX Voice.
Microchips are designed for manufacturing according to 14 nm standards.
