Unsurprisingly, the shortage of components is far from over. And across all sectors, this is a problem that is felt and well. But at a technological level, the graphics card market has been one of the most affected, and the consequences are limited to the lack of stock of equipment and, at the same time, the unrestrained increase in product prices.
According to recent data, Nvidia’s AMD Radeon RX 6000 GPUs and GeForce RTX 30 GPUs now cost double what was stipulated at the time of their launch.
AMD and Nvidia Graphics Cards at Double the Price
Once again the 3DCenter website shows us the reality of the values currently practiced in the graphics card market. And according to the details revealed, the latest models from AMD and Nvidia are already twice as expensive as stipulated on the release date.
In Europe, more specifically in Germany and Austria, the graphics cards of the GeForce RTX 30 line managed to present an average price in November that was higher compared to that presented in October. In other words, last month, the increase in these GPUs was around 88%, while this month this increase is 95%.
AMD Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards saw their price increase by 101% in the month of October, and now in November, this increase has slightly decreased to 90%. But this reduction will be related to the fact that many stores have received several deliveries of Radeon RX 6800 non-XT models, which made the price lower since the stock is greater.
Radeon 6000 and GeForce RTX 30 graphic cards cost
According to the details, the GeForce RTX 3080, for example, is already available in some places at 1500 euros, which is more than double the suggested price at the launch of 719 euros.
The Phonemantra website also shows some graphics, which you can see in the images above, with the price fluctuation of the GPU models from both manufacturers. And we can see that almost all graphics cards are now twice as expensive as suggested by the brands on their release date.
