RX 5600 and RX 5500 are also not going to retire
The day before yesterday it became known that on the eve of the announcement and subsequent release of Radeon RX 6000 video cards, AMD removed the Radeon RX 5700 from production and left the Radeon RX 5700 XT in the product range for another six months. But, surprisingly, the budget (by today’s standards) model Radeon RX 580, released three years ago, is not going to retire.
Radeon RX 5700 retired, but the three-year-old RX 580 remains in service
According to the source, the Radeon RX 580, based on the Polaris20 XT GPU, will be produced indefinitely. Obviously, the Radeon RX 6000 line does not provide an equally affordable video card, and after the expiration of the allotted period, the RX 580 will simply give way to the RX 5600 or RX 5500. By the way, these models will also remain in the AMD production line after the debut of the Radeon RX 6000.
