Radeon RX 6700 will receive only 6 GB of video memory GDDR6

According to the TechPowerUP resource, PowerColor accidentally published the packaging images of the Radeon RX 6700 graphics accelerator performed by Fighter. The leak confirms that the new product will be rated for 1440p gaming, just like the Radeon RX 6700 XT that went on sale last week.

The box also indicates that the video card is equipped with 6 GB of GDDR6 video memory, half the XT version size. This fact contradicts the fact that about two weeks ago, in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database, ASUS registered two Radeon RX 6700 models with 12 GB of video memory. On the other hand, this may also indirectly indicate that AMD plans to release two versions of the Radeon RX 6700 with different memory sizes.

Fighter’s PowerColor graphics cards are entry-level graphics cards that TUL Corporation (owner of the PowerColor brand) supplies to partners and subsidiaries such as Japan’s Kurotoshikou or China’s Dataland. It looks like the PowerColor Radeon RX 6700 Fighter model will use the same cooling system as the XT version of the video card, equipped with 12 GB of video memory.

AMD has not said when it is going to introduce the usual Radeon RX 6700. There are no leaks that could hint at the expected date of the announcement either.
