An overclocker from China under the nickname Takukou got his hands on a Radeon RX 6800 XT, and he did it very skillfully. So skillfully that the 3D card has become the fastest in the world – based on the result shown in the 3DMark Fire Strike test.

The user forced the reference Radeon RX 6800 XT to run at 2.8 GHz, which required resorting to a liquid nitrogen cooling system. Interestingly, the central processor of the computer system – the Ryzen 9 5950X – was also cooled with liquid nitrogen. And its frequency was 5.6 GHz. Also, 32 GB of RAM was installed in the system.

As you can see in the screenshot, the 3DMark Fire Strike test ended with a total score of 48,890 points, and the result of the video card itself – 61,831 points. For comparison, at the moment (in the not yet updated database) the first place is taken by the GeForce RTX 3090 with 47,725 points.

It should be noted that the Radeon RX 6800 XT has just appeared on sale, and not all overclockers have been able to work with it. It is possible that in the near future we will see new overclocking records for this model – with a frequency of about 3.0 GHz and maybe even higher.
