Samsung began testing Android 11 on the Galaxy S20 +

Samsung has not yet announced a release date for Android 11 firmware for the Galaxy S20 series smartphones. Nevertheless, most likely, testing of the new OS on the flagship devices of the Korean tech giant has already begun. Test results for Galaxy S20 + running Android 11 have been found in the GeekBench database.

However, this does not mean that smartphone users will receive the update any time soon. Apparently, the new firmware is in one of the first stages of testing. As a reminder, testing of Android 10 on Galaxy S10 smartphones began about a year ago, and the first stable build of the operating system for Samsung’s flagship devices of that time was released at the end of November 2019.

It is likely that this year the situation will be similar. Although the company has recently accelerated the delivery of important updates to its users, the release of Android 11 for Samsung smartphones before November will be a big surprise. The Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series are expected to be the first to receive Android 11. The latter will debut on Wednesday. As previously reported, along with the new operating system, Samsung is likely to release a radically redesigned One UI 3.0 user interface for its devices.
