Samsung Neo QLED 8K 2021 flagship TVs announced: from $ 3,500 to $ 9,000

Samsung has announced pricing for its 2021 TV family, including the flagship Samsung Neo QLED 8K models unveiled at CES 2021 last month. The Neo QLED 8K offers screens ranging from 65 to 85 inches. This series is complemented by the cheaper Neo QLED 4K models.

The Neo QLED 8K category’s flagship is the QN900A series, available in 65, 75, and 85 inches, all based on the Samsung Quantum Matrix Technology Pro display system. It combines Quantum Mini LEDs with a more accurate backlight dimming system, according to Samsung.

It uses a Neo Quantum 8K processor, which the manufacturer says offers AI optimizations for each scene to improve overall image quality. There’s also HDR10 + support and up to 8KAI upscaling, with Samsung promising 100 percent DCI-P3 color space coverage. All of this is housed in a slim, anti-reflective Infinity Screen design with wider viewing angles than the last generation.

The QN900A Series also uses Object Tracking Sound Pro (OTS Pro) for more accurate 3D audio positioning – it automatically adjusts based on room acoustics and device installation. A slim stand is included, or the display can be wall-mounted instead. Thanks to the Multi-view functionality, you can display a picture from several sources simultaneously on the screen.

Prices start at $ 4999.99 for the 65-inch QN900A, $ 6999.99 for the 75-inch, and $ 8999.99 for the 85-inch TV. Pre-orders are already open, and the devices will arrive on store shelves on March 13. As for the Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN800A family (more straightforward lighting and less advanced sound), it also comes in 65 “, 75”, and 85 “sizes, priced at $ 3499.99, $ 4799.99, and $ 6499.99, respectively. For those not yet 8K ready, the company previously unveiled the 2021 Neo QLED 4K in the QN90A and QN85A series. They are available in 55 “, 65”, 75 “and 85” sizes.

The QN85A is the most affordable TV with prices of $ 1599.99, $ 2199.99, $ 2999.99 and $ 4499.99 respectively in 55 “, 65”, 75 “and 85” sizes. All of them will be available for sale by March 20, according to Samsung. The TVs offer 4K resolution, use the same high-precision Mini LED pixels as 8K models, and offer up to 4K upscaling with AI. As for the QN90A, the price is $ 1799.99, $ 2599.99, $ 3499.99 and $ 4999.99 respectively for the 55 “, 65”, 75 “and 85” diagonals. All of them will hit store shelves until March 6.
